Internet Specialties West, Inc. (ISWest) was founded in 1996 by Drew Kaplan and Robert Johnson in Westlake Village, California. When it began, the company occupied 1,400 square feet of office space and offered a variety of Internet services, including Dialup, Web Hosting, Email, Frame Relay, T1, DSL connectivity and server colocation.
- In June 2001, the company moved into its current location in
Agoura Hills, California. Located along the 101 freeway near the
border of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, the 10,000 square-foot
facility is home to a 5,000 square-foot data center, Network Operations
Center (NOC), and houses all of ISWest's support and sales operations.
- Just as the company grew with the new location, so did its service
offerings. Since moving to the new location, ISWest has added a
full line of virtual services to complement its various web hosting
and email plans. Customers now rely on ISWest for spam filtering,
web statistics, database hosting, VPN, Firewall, Content Filtering,
router rental, backups and more. Additionally, the company has
added significant amounts of bandwidth to support its growing base
of customers. The increased bandwidth capacity has allowed ISWest
to not only continue selling business DSL and T1 connections but
even larger Internet connections, including DS3 and Gigabit.
- Today, the award-winning business is one
of the fastest growing technology companies in Los Angeles and
Ventura County. ISWest has earned a reputation as the Cadillac
of business Internet providers in Southern California. Having just
celebrated its 10th Anniversary, ISWest has big plans for continued
growth in the future, which include a second facility that will
more than double the size of ISWest's operation. The 16,500 square-foot
facility is slated to take over as our new corporate headquarters.
This new facility is being built to include the latest innovations
in the delivery of power and network services, customer security,
and redundancy to insure that our customers are always up and running,
Nonstop. We expect to be online in the new facility during the
third quarter of 2007.
