Internet Specialties West (ISWest) Lands two big government contracts…

Westlake Village, CA, November 14, 1997. Internet Specialties West, Inc. has signed multiple Agreements to provide Internet access and web site design and hosting for the Cities of Agoura Hills and Westlake Village.

Residents and Businesses will now be able to visit the Agoura Hills and Westlake Village City Hall without ever having to step foot into these facilities by visiting either City at their new web sites; http://www.ci.agoura-hills.ca.us and http://www.wlv.org

Both Cities have contracted with ISWest and have installed 128k ISDN dedicated connections to their facilities. ISWest is hosting their web sites off site on a high speed, dedicated redundant web server.

"Citizens will be able to E-mail their Council members and browse upcoming City Council and Planning Commission agendas to determine if they want to attend the next meeting." Says Drew J. Kaplan Chief Operating Officer of ISWest. Minutes for these sessions subsequently will be online for review.

The two web sites offer access to City Departments, Calendar of Meetings, General Services, City Information and Recreation. The information is sorted by various categories, cross-linked and will be updated monthly.

The benefits will be both immediate and long term. The public will receive a greatly enhanced level of service; available 24 hours a day.
