INTERNET SPECIALTIES WEST ACQUIRES
COMMUNITY ISP -- NCPLUS.COM OF VENTURA…
Westlake Village, CA June 11, 1999 – Internet Specialties West
(www.iswest.com) Ventura’s leading Internet Service Provider,
today announced its acquisition of NCPlus, known as (ncplus.com),
a local community based Internet Service Provider (ISP).
ISWest said it completed the acquisition for an undisclosed amount
of Cash and Terms. "This acquisition is our third since 1998
and continues to show that ISWest is the leading ISP in Ventura County,"
says Drew J. Kaplan, Vice President and Director of Sales and Marketing.
The full terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed, but what is
known is NCPlus customers will be moved over to ISWest’s booming
Ventura Facility. This will include all dial up and server co-location
customers. Billing will continue under the NCPlus name for a period
of time until the companies choose either a new name or use ISWest
as the main company. This acquisition will reduce the overhead of
NCPlus by 50%, making smart financial sense for both companies.
What this means to the customers is improved customer support, more
enhanced Internet products/services and Internet Specialties West
continued commitment to provide customers with the best the Internet
has to offer.
As giant Internet companies such as America Online (NYSE:AOL) and
Netscape, Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO), Infoseek Corp. (NASDAQ:SEEK)
continues to consolidate, so are the privately held smaller companies
like ISWest.
