Westlake Village, CA August 13, 1999 – Internet Specialties West, Inc. (ISWest) today announced the much awaited availability of its Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) service to Thousand Oaks and Ventura. ISWest’s DSL digital access service is fast and affordable connecting small businesses and corporate customers to the Internet at speeds up to 1.5 Megabits per second (Mbps) over ordinary copper telephone lines with no per minute fees.

Thousand Oaks and Ventura are among the last cities to get DSL in Ventura County. Most cities have already deployed DSL. Do to the delay in Thousand Oaks, ISWest in cooperation with GTE (NYSE:GTE) is able to extend a special offer of $99 for installation and equipment good until September 30, 1999. As a special offer for Ventura customers, ISWest is offering a $100 rebate on installation of its COVAD (NASDAQ:COVD)DSL service.

DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) service is an exciting new product for Internet connectivity, providing dedicated high-speed access at a very reasonable rate.
