No Napster, No Problem. ISWest and Lite 92.7 FM launches live radio streaming…

Westlake Village, Ca. (August 2, 2000) – ISWest one of Southern California's largest and most experienced Business-to-Business ISP’s, today announced a partnership with Lite 92.7 FM to broadcast the radio stations programming onto its web site.

By way of a special partnership, ISWest has installed a high-speed Internet access T1 at Lite 92.7 FM allowing the radio station to broadcast its live content onto the Internet. ISWest hosts the radio stations web site on their in-house web servers located in Westlake Village, California. "This new technology allows listeners of the radio station to get the live broadcast at their office or home, right over the Internet," said Drew J. Kaplan, Vice President of Internet Specialties West. "It also takes a local radio station and gives it a world wide reach, which in the past was impossible to do."

92.7 Lite FM is a Ventura County adult contemporary music station based in Thousand Oaks. "Many of our listeners have requested this streaming service so they can listen at work, even if they work outside of our radio signal," said Catherine Moreau, General Manager of 92.7 Lite FM. "The ‘click and listen’ button on our new web site (www.lite927.com) makes it easy to activate the streaming audio while listeners multi-task in other computer programs."
