ISWest Rolls out Low Cost T1 Service for Businesses

Agoura Hills, California (May 2002) - ISWest, one of Southern California's largest and most successful Business-to-Business ISP's, announced today that it has signed multiple agreements with several CLEC carriers to offer low cost extended reach T1 service to business customers across the united states.

ISWest’s extended reach T1 service offers affordable high speed Internet access at up to 1.5 Mbps with no distance limitations like DSL has and is up to 30 percent less expensive than traditional T1 offerings.

Previously, small and medium size businesses such as law firms and graphic design shops often could not qualify for certain SDSL (symmetrical digital subscriber line) bandwidths due to distance constraints or technical limitations such as bridge taps. With the introduction of ISWest extended reach T1 service, these businesses are now able to request the appropriate bandwidth for everyday business functions such as email and high-speed document transfers. This can result in increased productivity at lower ongoing costs.

ISWest expects the price for Extended reach T1 service to begin at $399 per month for Internet access, which is significantly lower than current traditional offerings.
